Sean celebrated the 4th of July holiday with a visit to a relative's house for a barbeque. While there, Sean not only ate and socialized with fellow partygoers but went for a ride on a boat!
I was able to see Sean yesterday before he left for the BBQ and he is doing really well. A couple of major improvements since I last spent time with him. He is holding his head upright all the time now. He looks at you when you are speaking with him and responds quickly via hand signals. He is also able to move himself around in his wheelchair via use of his left foot. He is moving slow but he is moving!
Nancy gave Sean some apple pie which was odd because it was 10am and Sean was going to a BBQ but that is my wife's style.....rocking the boat. Anyhow, Sean devoured the pie in no time. His appetite is definitely very good.
Still allot of work to do but the folks at Hartwyck seem to be picking up right where Kessler left off and Sean continues to work hard at regaining his skills.

It's really great to hear about the fun filled holiday weekend and Sean's continued improvements. Also good to know that his transition to being in a different facility is going well. ReplyDeleteCan I just say what a relief to find someone who actually knows what theyre talking about on the internet. You definitely know how to bring an issue to light and make it important. More people need to read this and understand this side of the story. I cant believe youre not more popular because you definitely have the gift.
